09|Dec|2009 1Product description indicates “Charger not included”. What?!? The unit is completely useless without a charger! Even if you could purchase one separately (which you can’t), it would be ridiculous to expect the consumer to do so.
I called Amazon’s customer support, and they told me I could request an update to the product info, by clicking on the ‘update product info’ link in the Feedback box at the bottom of the page. However, this update page doesn’t give an option to update the description. Another ‘WHAT?!?’. I also tried sending an email to Amazon, but they only accept emails related to a specific purchase order. The woman on the phone refused to pursue the matter any further, so this 1-star review is my only recourse.
I’m not going to order this item without KNOWING the charger comes with it. Otherwise, when it shows up without one, Amazon will just say ‘we told you so’. And I’ll be on the hook for return shipping and stocking fees. Amazon: BIG gap in your normally stellar customer service. I’ve found that Amazon really supports the customer well on purchases, but obviously no support whatsoever until the purchase is actually made. Big disappointment here. Guess I’ll have to shop elsewhere for this item.

09|Dec|2009 2I love this product. Headset is comfortable. I use this set everyday. I love that I have the freedom to listen to Ipod, without the hassel of carrying it around with me.

10|Dec|2009 41. First of all, it’s very sobering that most folks think this is a good unit.. actually very scary.
2. Here’s the reality:
a. re: sound, the headphones actually sound pretty good. I’m not an audiophile, but I assume most folks who are thinking of getting this unit aren’t purchasing it for high fidelity reasons. With that being said, these sound pretty good to me (no hissing, no odd sounds, nice clear audio).
b. re: wireless capabilities–> it completely stinks. when you analyze the purchase, the only reason you’re getting these headphones compared the more capable units is because of the wireless feature. Thus it was a complete dissapointment when I realized that you could only reliably hear audio only if nothing obstructs the bluetooth transmitter. even having the ipod in your pocket will inevitably result in episodic audio drops. If on the otherhand, you’re able to have the ipod / transmitter completely clear of any obstructions, the bluetooth will work well.
2. thus it’s a mixed bag, but in the areas in which it really counts (ie wireless capabilities in various nonchallenging situations), this product basically stinks.

10|Dec|2009 5The Sony DR-BT21IK/B Wireless Transmitter and Bluetooth Headset for iPod was a utter dissapointment. If you’re looking for a Bluetooth Headset to use during any type of physical activity then you need to keep looking. This unit skips like a first generation CD player traveling down a washboard gravel road in a rusted out Ford F150. Stick to a traditional wired unit until Sony profects the bluetooth connection technology.
