18|Feb|2010 2OK, it’s hideous. Lets get that out of the way, if the iPod is some sort of status symbol for you, buy something else. You better be hardcore for your music, because you’re not getting any clothes horse style action out of this utilitarian beast.
OK, that being said, this Jeep is the future.
MP3 watches were completely doomed — they can’t be charged much, they have no capacity, and who wants a wire snaking up their arm?
But watches are easy to control by touch — find wrist, touch it. This basically implements that, and only that, while the iPod itself stays clipped inside your jacket or on your belt.
Do one thing; do it well.
I’ve been using this for the last day — actually bought a Ipod v4 instead of the video just so I could use this. (And, yes, that means I bought the iPod so I could try this.) OK. It’s rad. You can pause the music without looking, as well as advance track or alter volume. I haven’t yet tested this for snowboarding, but it does come with two different straps — one specifically for going _outside_ your snowboarding jacket — so it’s at least trying to be built for this.
I’ll give five stars to the next redesign, when the buttons are a little bigger and it looks a little more like an iPod accessory. But seriously, for usability, this is utterly revolutionary. When Apple copies it — and, oh yes they will — people need to remember: Scosche got here first.

18|Feb|2010 3This will not work with video iPod. The video iPod does not have the power source next to the audio out like all the other iPods. The video iPod only has the audio out (headphone jack).
